Easy to install and like the display feature

I purchase 2 units from Amazon and the I need it another one and Amazon removed them so I contact Xsense direct and it was very easy to buy. I like the units I install smoke and combos in my house and it is so easy to synchronize. Love them

Shipping took nine days to receive the product. Product is great.

I bought a 3 pack and it contained NO warranty info and it contained NO INSTRUCTIONS manual....It would be nice to keep the instruction close by in case of problems

I have bought an X-Sense fire alarm before, and I highly recommended it to my family and friends. Also, I suggested they also buy one carbon monoxide alarm with it. Well, I just took my own advice and did it.
This alarm is well-made and comes with a 10 year battery. To install, you just simply use the screws that come with it to mount it to the wall or get yourself a command strip and do it your way. Products like this really give you peace of mind, I will still recommend this brand and models that I used to my surrounding people.

I hope it will never have to check if it works, but the testing is perfect and 10-year battery life is far better than having to change the battery every 6 months. Peace of mind. The material is quality, sturdily constructed, easy to install, super loud chirping sound. I bought 2 and thinking to purchase more to replace my old ones. The local Fire Dept says the photoelectric type are the best as they detect a smoldering fire before it becomes a full-fledged conflagration.

As everyone said, the installation was easy. Making a mark using a marker and mounting bracket and drilling a hole to insert the anchors, and then mounting screws to make sure the bracket was attached to the wall. Done.

I had a Nest smoke alarm for 6 and a half years. About 3 months ago, it started chirping every minute telling me it's not working, it didn't make it full 7 years. No happy with it. What's more, it had false alarms repeatedly and the fire dept came and confirmed no smoke.
But X-Sense isn't that nonsense. 10 year battery life at a 1/3 price of the Nest, with a digital CO display, easy to install within minutes, and passed the initial test. Its a go-to option.

2 weeks after we got this installed, there was a fire at late night in our neighbor's balcony that is very close to our apartment, The smoke drifted into our bathroom which is adjacent to the neighbor's and woke up X-SENSE detector, it started beeping so loud and other alarms went off as well. We woke up before the persons with the fires in their apartment. Can't recommend this alarm enough!

I bought this smoke&co alarm for my RV. When I was a child, I almost died from carbon monoxide in an RV so I was very serious about the picking. The reason I choose this model is that it shows exact levels of co and chirping is loud. So I will definitely wake up when there is an emergency. I mounted this on the wall within 2 mins. I am satisfied with the purchase.

I like the fact that the detector does not need a wire connection. 10-year battery life is very attempting but we will see if it's true. And the light blinks every 30 seconds to let you know it's properly working right now, which is reassuring. Since it detects both smoke and CO, I put it in all rooms and my garage. Peace of mind. :)

So far so good! These alarms look way too much better looking than other brands! The modern exterior flow with our decor in the house. 10-year battery life and we'll see in the next few years. They came in well-packed with all tools and hardware you'll need for install. Simply push and turn the detector into the baseplate and you are done. It only took me around 15 mins to finish this 3-pack. Great product with a reasonable price.

Just installed these 3 detectors in a short timethey are way much better looking than the yellowed, ugly Kidde detectors. And Kidde false-alarming!! I mean they're just 2-3 years old, and 4 of them went bad. Let's see how X-sense does when comes to detecting.
But I already like it for several reasons:
1. The design is great. Compact and smooth.
2. CO LCD readout is far better than the kiddie
3. Easy installation
4. You can find thoughtful details for customer convenience that suggest the designer team really on their game.
So far, definitely a 5-star purchase.

If this battery lasts as long as it advertised, which is 10 years. It is an incredible purchase. It only beeps once when we got smoke spreading from cooking in the kitchen. I stopped using most detectors as they chirp incessantly when they had to be changed batteries. Can't be more satisfied. Well, Phoebe on Friends will like this smoke detector.

This is a great combo(CO&Smoke) detector. It has an LCD screen that tells you co-level. The number is large and equipped with light, making it easy to read. And the product is well made and durable, I don't know if it can stick with 10 year battery lifespan, but even 5 years will be up for my expectation.
X-Sense sells a series of carbon monoxide detectors. I used other brands before but decided to go with X-Sense. For a non-Amazon seller, they definitely have great customer service: Very responsive via email. It's a great investment for family to have Carbon monoxide and smoke detectors. Very satisfied with the purchase so far.

I bought 2* 3-pack of the SC07 combo unit, and really impressive right after unboxing, you can see the quality of the detector, solid material and well design.
Function well after easy installation. Pressed Test button and the siren is as loud as it advertised, and it also has a self-check feature, which really great one. Very happy with the purchase so far.

I like the feature that it has a 10-year battery lifespan and it's not hardwired type which can be erratic when the electricity is cut off.
I also find its more sensitive installed in my kitchen than my previous sensor, this is kind of irritating me sometimes. but it's better off to have false alarms than the alternative.

Since I have a gas fireplace in my home, I thought it's best to buy a combo smoke detector/CO detector
I got this 3-pack for a good deal. Detectors are easy to install - The user manual makes it clear for customers to know what to do in minutes. And they look quite nice after installation.
I tested all 3 after installation and the LCD indicator is very easy to understand as well. I also took a minute to test it with a candle and it goes it off - and it quickly went back to green mode once the smoke cleared.
Having this X-Sense combo detector brings me peace of mind. ?

A week after we installed this alarm there was a late night fire on the balcony adjacent to our unit. The smoke drifted into a shared attack space and then down into the walls and came through the plumbing openings in our bathroom. The voice on this unit recognized it as a fire and started repeating "Fire." Our other alarm went off as well, but the voice really kicked us into gear.

I just wish there was an alignment method so when I rotate the detector into its holding rim, its aligned correctly. Sadly its angled a bit and annoying as all get out and I did not like removing screws and doing it all over.
At least I was able to mark where on the holding rim the detectors bottom faced and then I made sure that mark pointed directly to the floor before screwing it back in again.
Simon Hawk
I like the fact that it has a 10 year rated battery and is not hardwired into an electrical system, which, in the time of weather disturbances, can be erratic, maintains protection.
It has a much larger footprint than my original sensor, so may be a little decoratively intrusive, depending upon location.
I also find it is far more sensitive to my kitchen exploits than my previous sensor, which is a little irritating at times, but I guess false alarms are better than the alternative.

I bought these because of the high satisfaction ratings and very few one star ratings. The build quality is awesome. Also the installation booklet is actually readable. The font size is good and the English is perfect.
Because orientation, due to the readout, is more important than most other smoke detectors, I would have thought the otherwise excellent instructions would have mentioned this. Not! Because other brands make proper orientation so easy, I downgraded this product for that reason alone.
Eric
I purchased these thinking that the display would show you the current CO levels present, they do not do that. I took one of the units out to my garage and started up my Diesel tractor and gas car and let them run for about 15 minutes with the garage door closed. I had placed the detector behind the car at the level the exhaust came out. When I came back after 15 minutes of both vehicles running and entered the garage the fumes were so bad they burn your eyes, the X-Sense happily showed 0 ppm CO and not an alarm of any type. I opened the garage door and it took about an hour for it to air out and clear the fumes. These got picked back up and returned.

I have a gas fireplace in my home and my A/c-Heat unit has a backup emergency gas feature so I thought it best to purchase a combo smoke detector/carbon monoxide unit.
I picked up this three pack for a reasonable price. They are very easy to install - the instructions are clear and easy to ready and understand and once installed actually look quite nice.
I tested all three upon installation and the little LCD is very easy to read and understand as well. It took a minute but I was able to test it with a candle and it set it off - and once the area cleared of the smoke the detector went back to a stand-by/green mode.
God-willing I'll never have to see these products in action, but the comfort of having them in my home is definitely worth the piece of mind:-)

I had heard recently that it was important to have smoke detectors and CO detectors in our home. I decided to order from Amazon and install myself as we are not having outsiders into our home due to the pandemic. These came quickly and were very easy to install. (Note - I am a 75 year old female) The directions were right on and the manual is very well written and very detailed. I did have one issue as I couldn't find any information on a green tab on the front of the units and whether to pull it or not. I contacted the sellers and they responded quickly with what to do. I couldn't be happier with the product and the sellers.

Ordered on Feb 12 2021 and received April 23 2021. Customer service is very bad. No one answer the calls. Maybe time diffrence between us and China.
No notification before placing the order that the goods are manufactured and sold from China and not from USA. Fire equipments are very sensitive and must have all proper certifications. Without proper certification end up insurance issue. Bad experience and will never buy again.

These are good looking detectors that work as specified and provide different tone alerts for smoke and carbon monoxide. But - my fault, not anything wrong with the product -- I found out too late that our local fire code requires detectors that also have a voice alert that announces whether the alert is for smoke of carbon monoxide. I suggest checking with your local fire department before buying new detectors.

I have no doubt in my mind, this smoke detector saved my home and my family's lives. My mother has been recently accidentally leaving the stove on several times among other things. We believe it could be the onset of Alzheimer's or dementia due to her age. As with many from her age group/generation, she is in complete denial and refuses to accept help or seek a professional diagnosis. Due to this and recent loss of friends and her business to covid, we are trying to treat her issues delicately to prevent more mental/emotional stressors. How is this relevant to my purchase? We recently discreetly installed ring indoor cameras and this smoke detector between the kitchen and dining room for safety reasons, allowing her to retain her dignity and pride. Welp, about a month after installation, sure enough, this smoke detector rang throughout the 1.5k SQ foot house and alerted us to a potential threat. She had left the stove on again. The pot was burnt and the house, although not yet engulfed in smoke, had Teflon stank throughout. Because of this smoke detector, we were able to turn off the fire and contain the damage and everyone was alive and safe.

I had a Google Nest smoke detector for 6 1/2 years. I was not happy with it. It intentionally shuts off 7 years after manufacture (End Of Life Nov 2020) but 3 months prior, it started beeping every minute to tell me it was EOL. Since I bought it 3 months after it was built, I didn't even get the full 7 years. The Nest is an IoT (Internet of Things) device, so it can in theory spy on you. (It has a camera to tell if you're waving your arms at it, but the arm waving thing never worked.) Worse, a hacker could in theory break into it and spy on you. It also sounded repeated false alarms 3 months ago - the fire dept came out and confirmed there was no smoke.
The X-Sense is none of that nonsense. It's good for 10 years at 1/3 the price of the Nest. It has a digital CO display, and you never have to replace the battery. It installed quickly and easily and passed its initial test. No IoT and no camera.

After a week of debating between X-Sense, First Alert and Kidde I decided I was going to give X-Sense a try.
Why? I had two First Alert alarms installed. Both alarms claimed to have a 10 year battery life. 1 of the alarms tripped over the summer and just about 2 weeks ago our other one decided to wake us up at 2 AM. Both were false alarms as we have additional carbon monoxide alarms which never triggered. I'd say they lasted us about 6 years so it wasn't terrible but waking up at 2 AM to a false alarm is enough to have customers check out other options.
I know a few people who have Kidde alarms and have no complaints about them but while going through reviews on here it was a split of users who liked them versus those who didn't like them.
Reading about the X-Sense alarms kind of eased my mind. I read through the reviews and there weren't many people with negative comments which I found weird. Either way I decided to go with these alarms and picked up 3. I was nervous that these may be some crap product from China but I was very happy when I received them.

Good well made alert device for shared lives home setting

Excellent price for a very well made smoke & carbon monoxide alarm. Excellent plastic, sturdy. Also included in the kit is the bracket for the ceiling and the dowels to mount it. Once put in place it will no longer be possible to turn it off, it will remain operational for 10 years until you go and turn it off. Also, there's no need to change / recharge the battery.
There is a front LED to determine the operating status of the product, in addition to the ""test"" function.
It is advisable not to install it right above the stove, simply because even in the case of minimum smoke, the alarm goes off, therefore it is good to install it in the kitchen but at a distance from the stove in order to detect a slightly more considerable smoke, rather than a minimum smoke that sometimes it is normal in cooking.
If the alarm goes off, it must be turned off by pressing the central button and then advisable to install it at a height that can be reached to be turned off. I saw friends using a broom.

Fast delivery, beautifully design, I recommend this product.

This has a fixed battery that lasts 10years and that is the same as the effective life of both sensors in the alarm, hence when the lcd display says End then the whole unit is end of life and is to be disposed off acording to local rules for electronics containing a sealed Lithium Battery (non-rechargeable). Do not attempt to replace the battery as the unit cannot be reactivated so pointless doing when the LCD says LB for low battery. Good instructions about mounting positions and good advice on its use . The smoke sensor works separately to the CO detector and both carefully prevent false alarms. The CO levels as a PPM (parts per million) are displayed on the LCD display... over 30ppm and the screen will be backlight blue, for a given time at or above 30ppm the led will flash red and the alarm will sound. The user manual covers all the combinations and permutations of alarms and is well written. I really like the sleek design and the alarm is effective and loud. EN14604 and EN5029-1 manufacturing compliance and it is CE rated. The range from this supplier are stunning. Highly Recommended.

This alarm comes in a box complete with screws and backplate to fix it to the ceiling making it a screw on alarm.
It is awfully loud. Test button is easy accessible and works well.
Alarm comes with sealed lithium battery that suppose to last 10 years! Fantastic! You don't have to worry about replacing the batteries every now and then (do not forget to test it on regular basis anyway, for safety).

It looks rather sleek and contemporary, I'll be happy to replace my outdated one with this one.

Lots of features. Does what it says.
