- Yes, STH0A can monitor indoor temperature and humidity independently and display the data on its screen. However, without the base station, you won't be able to use the app features for remote monitoring or data logging.
Does STH0A work during power or internet outages?
- Absolutely! STH0A has a built-in battery, so it can continue monitoring and displaying temperature and humidity during power or internet outages, as long as the battery has power. During internet outages: STH0A can store up to 15 days of data, provided the base station remains powered. Data will sync to the app as soon as the connection is restored. During base station power outages: The thermo-hygrometer can store up to 3 days of data, which will upload to the base station once power is restored. This ensures uninterrupted monitoring and reliable data storage, even in challenging conditions.
What are the key differences between the STH0A and the STH54 thermo-hygrometers?
- The main difference lies in the display: The STH0A features a 2.8-inch LCD screen that shows real-time temperature, humidity, and comfort levels directly on the device.So you can use the STH0A directly without the base station if you don't need the smart APP functions. The STH54 does not have a display and relies entirely on the app for monitoring. The STH0A supports dew point and VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit) tracking via the app, while the STH54 does not include this plant-friendly features.
Can the X-Sense STH0A Thermo-Hygrometer be used in a refrigerator or freezer?
- Not recommended. Prolonged use in refrigerators or freezers is discouraged because low temperatures can shorten battery life and affect device connectivity. The recommended working temperature range is 14°F to 140°F (-10°C to 60°C) for optimal performance.
