Great

So easy to setup and connect. So much better than the original 25 years old one's.

Great for garages

These work great in a garage to protect against fires there. They are heat detectors (not smoke) so fumes from the car will not set them off. I bought two and tested them both with a hair dryer before and after installation and they work perfectly.

Does not require base station

The product description states the base station is required, but in the instructions it says you can and how to pair with their other RF capable products. You just dont have an app with the notification of which alarm was initially triggered. With alarms that arent in the app, it wont provide the value of being able to remotely silence them.

Bought this for my garage after getting an EV, just to have an early warning should something go wrong. If pairing to other alarms that dont have the pairing button on the back but have the activation button pressed by its mount enter those into pairing mode and take this one around to pair with them.

Great, but listing is misleading

The listing has conflicting information regarding a base station. In the listing it says "the included SBS50 base station supports up to 50 devices," but as I looked at the product, there were no pics of the base station.

In the end, it does not come with a base station. If you want this to link to you phone and online, you'll need to purchase that separately.

As far as the product goes, it's literally perfect and what I needed. I tested it and it works great. I have one in my garage and one in my kitchen. I bought the hub/audio sensor combo so they could all connect online.

To be clear, if you ONLY buy this:
-you will only get 1 heat sensor
-you will not be able to get online notifications
-you will not be able to connect this to other X-Sense products

Easy install!

I have two of these in my garages. I purchased the base-station separately and paired both of these quickly and easily. App shows the signal and battery status and allows you to group devices in rooms. Great value, easy install.
